It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that on Monday after a very short battle with cancer Basil Henricus passed away the family are all deeply saddened by how quickly it got him.

Thanks to the Heatherdale Cricket Club especially Sean De Kretser who is a lifelong family friend of the Henricus’ both teams on Saturday will be wearing black arm bands and will offer up a minutes silence prior to the first ball in honour of Basil.

I personally will miss our chats together on a Saturday even though I could only really understand about half of what you were saying, I’ll have a whiskey or 2 for you down here mate and remember no one can stop you from drinking Whiskey up there!
