Towards the end of last season we had a club meeting to discuss what we can do to improve the club on field and off field, one of the ideas was fundraising and getting our name out there a bit more in the community.

Well the subcommittee has been working tirelessly during the off season and thanks in huge (pardon the pun) part to the efforts of Hugh Cameron we have been able to book in a BBQ at Blackburn North on August 16th from 8am – 4pm.

Now this is where we need people to put in and help out coming up with ideas is the easy part, we are asking for volunteers to help man the BBQ on the day, we are looking at having 4 shifts by 2 hours, 5 people per shift, that is a total of 20 people.

these times are not set in stone and if you can only get there for an hour or even 30 mins every little bit helps.

we ran one of these a few years ago and made about $2000 on the day and that was when we couldn’t sell drinks, now we can so we hope to make even more money to help keep our costs down.
